STV has an immediate opening for a Senior Transportation Project Manager to join our Colorado Springs, CO office. The Senior Transportation Project Manager will be responsible for managing and supporting transportation planning projects and preparation of a variety of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) environmental documents and will work with our Environmental Planning & Permitting and Transportation Engineering teams.

Senior Transportation Project Manager

  • Responsible for planning and managing multidisciplinary projects and processes (i.e. technical studies and NEPA CEs, EAs, EISs).
  • Assists senior staff in coordinating efforts of multidisciplinary teams on a variety of transportation-related planning and engineering contracts.
  • Defines the level of environmental analysis required. Coordinates the work of professional staff on projects.
  • Develop, cultivate, and strengthen client relationships.
  • Involved with marketing, proposal development, client interviews, preparation of scopes and fees, and document production, and QAQC.
  • Participates in reviews with various governing agencies for compliance. Leads preparation for and participates in public meetings,noise workshops, and hearings.
  • Serves as a technical resource and assigns work to other staff and coordinates workload throughout project development to complete documents on schedule.
  • Tracks financial aspects of projects. Coordinates and adjusts the workload effort with the internal team and subconsultants to ensure that work is completed within the parameters of the agreed to schedule.
  • Mentors junior staff across the Texas Mountain Region.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental sciences, transportation planning, environmental planning or similar discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of related experience (15+ preferred).
  • Established and successful history managing and delivering transportation planning projects, feasibility studies, alternatives analyses, and NEPA studies.
  • Practical knowledge and experience with environmental regulations: Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act, Environmental Justice, Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, and others.
  • NEPA, CEs, EA's, and EIS'sand TxDOT experience.
  • Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.

Compensation Range:

$162,130.00 - $216,173.00
